alot of my friends in US are gana graduate in June. and I'm gana be a senior from this April... bummer.. but that's ok. Japan's school year starts slower than the US, that 's all!!
my sis is in New Zealand right now, and she's lovin it! we go there durin the third grade in Junior HIgh at our school. we homestay for two weeks. n ne how, I wana go to NZ too!
but where I really wana go is Darien, then Manhattan to meet all my frinds! before they graduate! CUZ I wont be able to see them once they move over to like california!
ne how, it's really windy these days.. it feels like a typhoon's commin or somethin. blahh...
well, now I have to go to Juku, a school where you take extra lessons to improve your work. not because i'm dumb!! lol. I stay there for like 8 hours now that we're out of school. well, the school year's not over til the 22, but our school has like 10 days off after the tests. funny huh? why dont they just end the school year 10 days earlier!? oh well... that's their way.
I think I'm gana go to Tokyo Disney Land once my sis comes back. I so wana go there! it7s like 50bucks to get in, but it's really worth it!
and I wana get a new cell phone, and my parents are like yellin at me sayin that I only need one cellphone to keep for a life time! what? are they serious? it's like free now to change my cell phone since I saved up enough points. and they say that it's not neccessary. well, I have to recarge the batteries like every 3 hours now cuz the machine itself is old! it's 2 years old now! n yeah, like I can do that at school. so oviously, the battery runs out. and my mom calls or somethin and she freaks out cuz i dont answer the phone even if she calls like 5 times. well, duh, the battery's out.
so my dad tells me to buy new batteries. which cost like 35bux. well, hello?!?! the new cellphone cost 0 yen (0bucks!!) n it only takes like 2000yen (20bux) to get all the programs in it. and it's new so the batteries are new too! are tehy stupid? no they're not. but they tend to become some stupid animals once in a while. too analoge!! they live in a world like 10 years ago.
they say that cellphones are to have only for callin. adn somethimes mailin. well, in our age group, we cant live w/ out a cellphone! and I said i'm gana pay for the money! but since i'm still 17, and cant do everythin by my self (meanin that i have to have the parential or gaurdian agreement) I cant get a new cell phone! why arent my perents as loose as the other parents? my friends' mom's like "oh, you've got scratches all over your cell! you must buy a new one" after like 10 months....
blahhh.... I've had enough. I'm too sick of complainin. i7m just gana say that could be my b-day present. an agreement for me to get a new cellphone. how stupid is that? it's PRICELESS!!!

Hey, it's been like ages since the last time I made an entry. but I'm still alive, and doin well!!
So what's up w/ your life recently?
I'm pretty busy studyin for the entrance examinations which I'll have to be taking in exactly like a year from now. well, entrace exams for universities and stuff.
well... I wrote like the same thing in MYSPACE, but I'll write it here, cuz I'm not even sure if that blog thing is working for me.. lol
I'm busy usually, but we had a day off at school today, so I just decided to open my PC and check what's up w/ every one. Alot of my friends had this MYSPACE thing, and I just wanted to try it. Pretty cool.
I mean I have livejournal and this now, but I really dont have the time to update it. but I'll come around once in a while... hopefully. so leave a comment or somethin ok? lol
well, I'm in Japan now, and I'm a Junior now, and from March, I'll be a Senior. and I have exactly like a year left til I have to take all these tests and stuff to enter universities I want to goto.
I'm hoping to go to Tokyo University, which is the highest rankin college in Japan at the moment. well, since they first built it in like 1700s or somethin. and I'm workin and studin like mad lol.
so I havent kept in touch w/ you guys much, but how's life over there in US?

any ways, I'm not playin violin at the moment. I kinda well... not quit, but i'm taking a rest w/ it cuz I wana major in economy instead of music.
I took the national contest thing for violin two years ago(2004) but i was 1point short and couldnt go to nationals. so that's when I decided to take a rest w/ my violin for a while. kinda sad isnt it?
I had a talk w/ my vn teacher wheter I really wanted to give up majoring music and all, but I thought about what I wanted to do and what I really wanted to do in the future, and ... well, here I am, studyin every day, in one of the toughest schools in Japan... ;P
But I'm enjoyin life!! and hopefully u guys are too.
I'll come around... well maybe next week or next month, or ... I dunno, but deffinatly during the spring brake, so keep in thouch!! (kinda rediculous for me to say, cuz I'm the one who's not even opening the PC for like four months... Cell-phones are very useful in japan, and that's probably why. we dont use PC that much here,cuz what we use is a paper and pen. not much typin and stuff for homework. just paper. lol.)

| I haven't been here for such a long time. So when was the last time I was here? uh... winter vacation?
hahaha. well, I'm doing my English hw, which is like 1000 word essay on some stupid topic. but so I just came by to check how life in US is. I went on AIM and talked to a couple of people. And saw some people's pictures and stuff that was there or they sent me while I was talkin and stuff.
I became an Junior from this April. and And starting probably from this weekend, I'm going to Juku.
do you guys know what Juku is? it's like a school. where you learn out side of school.
It sounds like a bummer, but I'm actually thinking about going to one of the top-level colleges in Japan, and in order to do that, I have to go to Juku.
any ways, I'm living my life. I checked my height. Baaaarlllllley 5'4" hehe. and my weight... lets say not changed from last year. I think I need to lose a few more. but If I think about it, I think my beastty self was when I was in the US, and was a freshman.
I think I lost about 8lb after that. or actually.. yeah, 8?
any how, how's things over there?
I'm still doing Violin. playing Tchaik violin concerto. oh yeah, did I tell you? I failed the audition, so I wont be able to play with the orchestra infront of the students. Students meaning my classmates and the other people in shcool.
oh well, too bad. and I wont have time to try again next year, cuz I'll be busy with trying to get into a college I wana go to.
So I'm 17 now. I had my Birthday on April 4th.
got many cakes and presents and mails. That was lovely.
my cell phone started to buzz (it's on silence, so it vibrates bzzzzzzzz) exactly at 00:00 4/4/2005. It was so funny. I recieved like 5 mails at one time, and more kept comming as the day went on.
Aww, I'm doing this essay... and I cant think.... um... yeah.
Life's goin pretty well for me... I think i said that before... didn't I?
A friend of me moved to Atlanta. And I was thinking, maybe my dad could be transfred to NYC again? THen maybe I could attend DHS and go to NYYS!!!!

| Hey! Haven't heard from anyone, but how was Christmas and New Year this year?
I went to go see a movie w/ 3 of my friends, a double date, on the Christmas Eve. Then we got tired of going shoppin, so we decided to go to Disney Land in TOkyo which was just like 15 min away by train from where we were. It was all pretty! omg, like the lights were so colorful and bright!
oh, by the way, like almost 80% of the stores and entertaining places are open on Christmas and Eve. but on New years, the stores are almost closed, all of them til the 4th. which is today.
My mom and sister went on a vacation from today, so I'm alone at the house.
cuz I had too much homework to do.
so All I've doing today is just practicing and doing work and just doing some workouts, cuz I think I gained alittle weight over the holidays. hehe...
Ok, so I'm gana go out now, and get a new calendaer for my room, and a little schedule book thingy for myself. I never used to have a schedule book when I was in the US, and I bet many others around my age dont have one.
well, there's one instaled in my cell til the year of 2025, but I really dont like using them. much better if i write it down.
ok... I got my Otoshidama for this year. 25000yen. which is like $250, on New Years day. Otoshidama is money you get from your grandparents, uncles or aunts. I met my grandparents on my mother's side this year, and an aunt. I couldnt go to Kyushuu to go meet my father's side. they're (I think) around 67. wow... I dunno if that's old for a grandparent or not.
but any how...
I'm tired now, and it snowed for the first time on 12/31 tzzzzzzz, almost NEW YEAR I'm tellin you, we all thought it wouldnt snow again this year, but it did! and the next day is the new years, and it's like 10degrees celcius outside. which is like 45F?

well, hopefully we don't get alot of damage here, where I live. It's like 400km away from the target. but still, probablly I have to run out the house w/ what I have on, and my violin. lol.
well, this house is prepared for an earthquake w/ the magnitude of 10.0, but the lights, TV, tables, beds, ofcourse all the glass and the fridge will be a goner no matter what.
so it's a scarry thing to live here, but oh well, living a normal life I guess. hahah
school starts on the 8th. and We have one more semester to go, til march. and the school year will end then. and I'm moving onto Junior.
I know everyone in DHS who was w/ me IS a junior already. and Japan is just too slow. why start the new school year in APRIL? and end it in MARCH?
I mean, why dont the world just all start in September 1st or something? and end in July?
or June I suppose.
US has like 190 school days? or was it 200? 180? not sure.
but Japan has about 245. our school has Saturdays every week, so like about 300 days.

| Hey! Haven't visited here for a long time. I mean, really long time. I've been really busy, and wasn't able to even touch the PC. Winter vacation starts TOMORROW. Can you believe it?! It's December 21st and still not on holiday... tzzz. But we had the finals a week ago, so this week has been off and I was just baking cookies, mailin w/ my cell, and yeah, writing New Years card. writing about 50 of them well just made my hands go numb.
So it's almost Christmas. Whatcha all going to do? I'll be home probably watching the TV and see stuff on there. may be eating some cakes, opening some presents and stuff :P
I really wana visit New York City this winter. I have been since like whenever I can remember. But my parents say no. Cuz I have NO TIME. haha. yeah, it's really busy, really. my schedule is always full. At least I dont have to study like crazy for a while. I woke up at 6am every morning and went to sleep at 2am two weeks before the test, and go to sleep at 1am wake up at 4am, three hour sleep for the week of the testings. 13 subjects. How crazy is my life? hehe. really crazy I guess.
But I'm alive, and I just wanted to update to tell you that I'm alive, and doing great :D
I'm playing Tchaikovsky Violin Concecerto. I was playing Sibelius, but my teacher and I figured that it would be better to play Tchaik when I'll have the orchestra in the back. and also the fact that the audience will be the students of my school, and I bet only 10 of them take lessons. haha. but it's cool.

| Ok. So my first competition went pretty well. Played Zigeunerweisen, and got qualified for the next stage. All county semifinal... or so called Elimination Tournament... you need to get like a 80 to pass... I got a 78, 74, 74, 75 this time... need like 5 more points to pass. It'll be hard. I mean the judges say my sound is very beautiful, just that the peice wasn't a fit for me. They said if I played some other kind of music, I might be better at it. True. Very true. I don't really think gipsy type of music is great for me. hm... but that's ok.
So I have exactly a month til the second stage. playing Saint-Sanse Havanaise. If I get above 80 and pass, I go to the nationals... and I don't think I'll ever make it. I know quite a few people who enters this competition every year, and they are MAD good. They go to music schools. It's like Juiliard Pre every day of the week except Sat & Sun. (well, at least they get Saturday off. I'm stuck in school til 12:30 every week. I still think it's a good idea to have 5 DAYS a week instead of 6.) and man, they're good.
Any way, if I pass the second stage, and I mean IF I pass... I'll be playing Sibelius Violin Concerto 3rd Movement. or 1st may be. But if I play the first movement, they'll cut me after 10 min... and that wouldn't be fun.
But I love Sibelius! Can't wait til I start working on it :D
Even if I don't pass, I'm gana work on it for a month... which is really, a short time. I have to start working on some kind of a peice... a Major peice, meanin like Tchaikovsky Vn Concerto or Brahms or Beethoven. For my school audition. If I get picked to be the soloist, I'll be able to do my first Solo Debut w/ a professional Orchestra. Which would be AWSOME. That'll be in March, so I still have PLENTY of time. May be too much.
I went shoppin three weeks ago w/ my mom to the city, well, city in JAPAN that is to say... (aww, just wish I could go shoppin in NYC for once. or twice. or may be more :P ) ... and we went to go look for a nice outfit for the competition. And we found a shop of like Prom Dresses ;D (we dont have proms in Japan.. wanted to go) and I found like 5 dresses that I like totally fell in love w/. Blue isnt really my color, but found this sky blue spagetti strap dress, one bright red, and three more reddish ones. I like red, and I think I look best in the color something like red or light pink or orange. Just I have to say that orange makes me look like Orange, and lighter shade of orange makes me look like a carrot. lol hahaha
but ne how... I need to go practice. School starts next week. So may be this entry might be my last entry before Winter vacation... Can you believe it? I probably wont have time to update again til then... I'll get really busy... but I might visit a few more times before then

so I read an entry of Stephanies. and wow, she went to WVM :) I went there three times. fun camp. very small camp but fun.
i guess there are more people now. the first time I went, it was onl like 10 students. next year 15, and the third year it was like 35 in total.
it's fun. but i wana try goin to a bigger camp. like Heifitz, Aspen, or MPM (Amy wenth there this year, and i know Elise has and Kaz has. they said it's fun. Rob went there but poor him...)

| I'm sick of this summer vacation. I havent got time to hang out w/ any of my friends cuz they're all busy w/ their clubs and stuff... and I'm busy and at home since like whenever. and bored. I was doing WOrld History since 7am this morning... and forgot to eat breakfast and ended up working on it til 11am...

and I slept cuz it's fuckin hot here, it's like 99 outsid! well, no. more like 92. And it's true.
strange how 7 years ago when I was livin in Japan... it wouldnt go this high... I mean it hit 102 F two weeks ago... mad hot. thought I was gana die or somethin. and I had school that day too!
and MY way to get to school... get up at 6am --> take the 7am train --> get off at 7:30 --> swich platforms -->take the 7:59am train --> get off at 8:03 --> speed walk for 17min (it a 25min walk) but you need to like walk and run. and I'm used to it now though. me and my friends chat. people walk on the same rode, same direction. no buses. and people from three different stations like meet and .... ne ways--> then get to school at 8:22 -->change shoes--> run up to the fourth floor(the stairs are mad crowded though.) and run like mad til the end of the hall where my class is --> get there at 7:25 exact. hahaha. well, i could leave home early, but i'm too lazy. and i've been late a couple of times ... oh well...
I've been practicing for the competition. and for the first round, you can play only 5 min. wtf?!?!?!?!
but second is like 8min. still short.

He said he was in Europe w/ his friends til YESTERDAY. cool, I've never been there. Hopefully I could go there like before I go to College or something. but then, I wont have enough money to go to NYC. which would just kil me.

it's awsome how a professional orchestra comes and two students each year gets to play a solo. and it's not even a Music School. lol.
so yesturday, I went to the city to go do some shoppin w/ my mom. well, it's cool when I dont hav emoney. lol. no, mom just likes to go shopin w/ me. it's cool. She picks out clothes I like, I pick her some. it all works out. and SHE PAYS for everythin. it's niceto go w/ her before like a trip. which I have one in October. I'm goin shoppin and go see a movie next week w/ my friends. after the competiton is over.well, two days after.

also read all these stuff people wrote in them. and I was readin one from three years ago. the one from Phil and Hugh. phil used up my whole back side of it. and hugh used up the first two pages of the book from the front. which was funny, cuz I was readin it, and stuff about meetin in NYC on June11th 2012 at 11am. Rockefeller center.

| Haven't updated for like a week. I said I would like three times a week... well, I guess it's not working. I just mail w/ my cell phone now, and like NO ONE uses PC in Japan. Well, at least young people don't any more. Well, I use the internet, email, and call people and it's only like 6000yen a month... which is like $55 or somethin.
Any how... I was reading people's entries of the past week, and I found Rob's. I was like "why's he back so early?" and read his entry... oh... and it sounds like that Kaz is also back... (?) aww,, Poor Rob. hopefully he wont go into a deep depression state. he did once before didnt he? I'm not sure.

I've been practicing, and my violin callus or so called Violin Hickey got swollen up, and I just went to the doctors yesterday, and the doctor took a needle, stuck it in the callus and pinched out the inside... it hurts... IT HURTS!!!!!!! have any violinist or violist done that? cuz this is my second time this year! I never had to do it in US. I did it in New Zealand. well, a nurse did it. I was like WOWAAAA, whacha doin?! cuz she told me that it's swollen, and that it'll be a sting. hella that was a big supprize!
hmm... any wayz, I was just really tired of reading... I have to read like 7 books this summer. Which is like 40 days long. Can you believe it?! and review all the stuff I learned for all subjects from the first semester. Cuz we have a test the first and second day of the second semester... so it's like studying stuff for both the Mid-term and the Finals. we have those three times each... six major testings sucks.
My sis is out to an tournament for TENNIS. she's the one who went to Juilliard Pre and now she's like "I dunno how long I'm gana keep doing violin. I wana do more tennis and do school work instead of violin." HELLO!!!!! I wanted to go.
aww, it would of been a real blast if I went to Juilliard Pre on Saturdays (which I did... lol. just to hang out and listen to recitals, master classes, and talk to people who I knew, like Ami, Allison, Dan, Mari-e, and Rob. I also met Kaz and Elise alot. which was cool) and go to NYYS on Sundays. but that didn't happen. I wish it would.
and I think if I was still in US, I would of probablly auditioned for many many conservatories next year. but now, I'm probabllly not gana even audition for one. I'm lookin forward to go to a college where I could study some Liturature or Law or somethin. not Music. If I REALLLY wana study Music, which I would LOVE to, I'm gana do that after graduatoion.

when I was in US, I used to go to like six flags. well, Disney land in Japan is like that PLUS all the character stuff... well I go to the attractions. Space Mt. I ride that like twice every time. Splash Mt. and Big THunder Mt. like 2times if possible. I wana go to Disney Sea. which opened up two years ago. it's new, and it's cool. they dont have it in any other country I think. it's right next to Disney Land. which is awsome. If anyone who visits Japan, you should go there. both.
aww, and I wana go to USJ. Universal Studio Japan...
but I acutally wana go to Rome or Paris at the moment. but dont have enough money... so I think going to Hawaii'll be good enough...
wish I could say that. lol. noo, no trips outside of Japan this year. AGAIN!
hopefully I could visit CT and NYC next spring. cuz I've decided not to go to any music camps anymore. well, I WANT to, but I haven't got any time now that I'm in this school. WORK WORK WORK. well, it's tough, but I'm used to it! hehe :)
ok... it's like noon. my dad and mom wakes me up at 7:30 every morning... althogh it's summer... baaaaaaaaa.
and I go to sleep around 2 or 3 am... cuz I mail and watch tv, read magazine, mail, mail, mail inside while lyin on bed... cuz I have the cell...
and wake up in like 4 hours...
and I'm probablly not gana sleep til like 5am tonight cuz I'm gana mail Naoki happy b-day at 12am and we'll prallly talk for a long time.
oh well... if they dont wake me up, I'll sleep til like 3pm... and I'll get reall angry at myself... cuz I dozed off and havent worked...
so i guess it's good.
and runnin's good. I'm kinda losing weight.
hopefully I'll be like 98 again. I'm like 105 at the moment...
damn... and still 5'3" not growing any taller...
oh well... I'll give up.
